Reading for Summer

Dear students of 6-10 forms, Let me remind you, that in september 2016 your teachers are waiting your reports about books you've read this summer!

School Drama Club became the prizewinner of International Arts Festival & Contest in Yaroslavl.

   Our congats to the actors  of our School Drama Club (stage director - Severina O.V.) that became the prizewinner of International Arts Festival & Contest in Yaroslavl. 
   The  young actors  performed "Alice in Wonderland" by L.Caroll. 

   Our "Harry Potter and his friends">>>  and  "Canterville Goast">>>  were awarded with first and third prime respectively in сorrespondence tour of International Arts Festival & Contest in Yaroslavl.

Fantastic trip to Wales!

   This summer a group of pupils from our school, headed by teacher Severina Oksana Vladimirovna, went to the camp in Wales.
    The children experienced there some of breathtaking activities as Zipwire or Quad-biking.
    Besides they tasted traditional English food and improved their English with their leaders, English teaches and new friends from France and Germany.
    And of course they had lots of excursions. This time they visited medieval castles and towns of Wales, national park Snowdonia, they discovered the history of the Beatles in Liverpool and found traces of Alice in Wonderland in Chester.

Weekend with English!

Pupils from our school spent a weekend from 9 to 11th of May in the Litvinovo sanitarium where they had a splendid opportunity to practice their English with a teacher from Ireland Cory.

During the training the children discovered their huge creative abilities as they managed to describe an idea of their unusual toy as well as they made a project of their own country.

The children took part in the surprising Irish quest and had a lot of fun at the evening parties.

All enjoyed the weekend so much as it seemed to us to have lasted at least a week.

We are in Great Britain!!!

      In June a group of our pupils and their parents set off to Great Britain with their teacher Severina O.V. 
     During their trip they visited lots of sights familiar to them only from pictures in the textbooks: the Tower, London Eye, Sherlock Holms Museum, Trafalgar square and National Gallery, Westminster Abby and many others. Besides they toured Stratford-on-Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace, and Oxford, a university town.
           The children had a lot of language practice in the shops, cafes and hotels. And in the end of their trip they presented diaries with their travelling notes>>>.

Maslenitsa - 2014

    Since long ago there is a tradition in Russia to say “goodbye” to winter and “hello” to spring.
    The holiday of seeing off of the winter is called Maslenitsa. The concert is held in our city on this matter, the artists sing age-old songs, chastushkas and organize practical jokes.
    People take part in different competitions, ride horses and drink hot tea with pancakes not to be frozen.

        New Year and Christmas are the most favourite winter holidays. They were coming.
“Why not to hold a merry Contest of Greetings Cards?” - thought the students of the 6th form.
The preparations began.  For children there was nothing better than drawing funny
sketches, cutting bright pictures out of old magazines, thinking up their own rhymes.
      Some cards were real little “ masterpieces” having been made with love and imagination.

A suprising greeting card with her congradulations on the Teacher’s Day was drawn by Agronova Dasha (6-B, group of O.V. Severina) for the All-Rusia Art Contest “Greeting Card in foreign languages”. Over 6000 pupils sent their works to the virtual exhibition which may be seen here >>> 

School Eurovision - 2013

Annual school contest of songs in foreign languages "School Eurovision" is usually held in February.  Our students take part in it with great pleasure.
